Ali Janga returns as Kogi police commissioner


Mr Ali Janga has been reinstated as the Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.

A statement by the state police command’s spokesperson, William Aya, says Janga returned to office on April 3rd following an order from the IG of police, Ibrahim Idris.

He said Janga was reinstated after meeting the one week ultimatum given to him by the IGP to re-arrest the six criminals that escaped from police custody on March 28th

Janga was removed from office after six suspects, including Kabiru Seidu and Nuhu Salisu, who had named Dino Melaye as their gun supplier, escaped from lawful police custody in Lokoja.
