A Petrol tanker on Monday evening went up in flames burning to death the driver and the conductor at Cele bustop inward Oshodi in Lagos.
Eye witnesses gave news sources two detailed accounts of the incident.
First that the tanker belonging to Total Oil went up in flames when it had a ruptured tyre around Cele bus-stop. It was gathered that in the driver’s bid to control his tanker another tanker on high speed rammed into it from behind, causing the truck to somersault.
Another version was that the truck was trying to avoid hitting a vehicle that over took it, when the truck from behind hit it causing the tanker to go up in flames.
Moreover, the raging fire, spread to the entire expressway, preventing even vehicles moving inward Apapa from having access.
