Wesley Girls Senior Secondary School, Lagos State, defeated Ugborikoko Secondary School Warri, Delta State, 25-08 to pick the first spot in the final game for the girls category of the Western Conference in the Nestle Milo Secondary Schools Basketball Championship.
The match was played at the Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos.
In the second semi-final, Yejide Girls Grammar School, Ibadan, Oyo State, confirmed their supremacy over Anglican High School, Ado Ekiti, beating them 36-16 to set up a date with the host state in the conference final billed for Tuesday (today).
Yejide girls coach, Yemi Abiodun, praised his players for their performance and what he described as “a job well done.”
He said, “I asked my players to take it easy and play their normal game without underrating their opponents.”
The final match between Yejide and Wesley would precede the boys’ final match, which is expected to start at 1pm.
