According to a report by Moskovsky Komsomolets Sergey Mavrodi, the founder of MMM, a Russian company that ran one of the world’s largest Ponzi scheme, has died of a heart attack.
Mavrodi, died in Moscow at the age of 62.
Mavrodi was taken to a city hospital from a bus stop overnight Monday, March 26, after he felt weakness and pain in the chest area.
The social media community have reacted to the death of Sergei Mavrodi, founder of MMM pyramid scheme, particularly Nigerians.
Some Nigerians, while reacting, described Mavrodi’s demise as a clear case of Karma.
Mavrodi launched his controversial scheme in 2011. It crashed in Nigeria in December 2016, with millions of naira belonging to Nigerians still missing.
