Russian side Rubin Kazan have signed former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Alex Song, the club announced Monday.
Rubin signed the 28-year-old Song, who played the last two seasons on loan with Premier League outfit West Ham United, as a free agent.
The details of the deal were undisclosed.
Song, who has earned 49 international caps for Cameroon, won the La Liga title and the Spanish Super Cup with Barcelona in 2013.
Spaniard Javier Gracia was named head coach of Rubin in May, signing what he said was an “irresistible” four-year deal.
Rubin were held to a goalless draw by Amkar Perm in their first game of the season on Monday.
