U.S. Hilary Clinton changes Twitter Bio over Adichie comment

The 2016 US Democratic Party presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, has rearranged her Twitter bio after the statement by award-winning author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie,

Adichie said she was “upset” that Hillary Clinton’s Twitter bio started with “wife” instead of her achievements.

She sparked controversy online after making the statement at the PEN World Voices Festival on April 22.

The former first lady of the US has now rearranged her Twitter bio. It reads “2016 Democratic Nominee, SecState, Senator, hair icon. Mom, Wife, Grandma x2, lawyer, advocate, fan of walks in the woods & standing up for our democracy.”

The Twitter bio had previously read: “Wife, mom, grandma, women+kids advocate, FLOTUS, Senator, SecState, hair icon, pantsuit aficionado, 2016 presidential candidate.”
