Kofi Middleton Mends, is dead.

The respected actor who is well-known for his catch phrase, “Sarah, my socks” and television commercial for Key Soap died yesterday evening, Tuesday, August 16, 2016.

The actor’s first child, Araba Botchwey, disclosed in an interview that her late dad had been battling kidney disease and was on dialysis when he passed away.

“He had been in and out of hospital for about two years and was rushed to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Monday dawn where he passed away at 4pm Tuesday” she said in tears.

The accomplished actor, is also known for his role in Grey Dawn (2015) and No Tears for Ananse(1968). He played a major role in a 1988 drama film “Heritage…Africa”.

Kofi Middleton Mends turned 77 in June this year and is survived by a wife and three children. He had five children but two had passed.
